Gyula Siska is a Hungarian artist, who having finished the School of Art, he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts studying painting and restoring. He subsequently worked as a restorer and for some years developed his education by studying the classic painting techniques of the old masters.
He also became a real expert in  Daguerreotypes and the restoration of old photographs, a skill for which he has now become known worldwide. When the Pope visited Budapest, Siska created an extraordinary work of art together with a sculptor – they made a circular copy of the famous Turin Shroud in a mixed media technique of bronze casting and photography. Siska’s favourite theme is still life and these masterly paintings are already known in many European countries.
