      John Trickett was born in 1956 and is regarded as one of the finest dog painters in the country if not the world and it was his painting of a Labrador which won the silver medal in the International Animal Painters competition in France. Although highly acclaimed for his dog paintings, he is equally collected for his views of the countryside particularly his images of horses and his wonderful Norfolk and Scottish Loch Scenes. He is a natural colourist with a great eye for composition and a feel for atmosphere. His paintings hang in collections all over the world including Japan, America, Australia and throughout Europe.
